About me:
Hello! I am Rae from Central Nebraska. My main interest outside of family is eBay. I have sold on eBay since I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2001. I spent much of my time at home and started selling some of my own books. I enjoy buying interesting items, so my sales helped to pay for all the special things I bought. My "hobby" has mushroomed since then and as I have regained my strength I go to sales and thrift stores to find unique items to resell to “feed my habit.” My eBay ID is old.books. I also teach basic eBay night classes at the local community college.
My “brush” with Breast Cancer has given me a different outlook on life—and that of my family. We have always been close, but now more than ever. My family consists of one long-suffering husband (36 years now!), 9 children (eight girls, one boy), 5 wonderful sons-in-law, and 7 grandchildren. We also have my Great Pyrenees puppy (not really a puppy anymore: she’s just under 100 pounds but still a lap dog!), a Shitzu who is the boss, a tiny Poodle who is the self-appointed watch dog, and of course the cat.
