Now accepting contributions for the 2008 contest!

WHAT: It's a Pierogi Eating Contest. Whoever eats the most pierogies in 10 minutes wins.

WHEN: Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. (after the parade).

WHERE: Main Street between the Showmobile and the beer tent.

WHY: Because your Eastern European ancestors would be proud. Also, all proceeds go to a good cause.

$10 gets you entered. It also gets you all the pierogi you can shove in your face in the span of 10 minutes. Kielbasa, halupki, haluski, and antacids are not included, but feel free to bring your own. Prizes will be awarded to the top three eaters, with the champion receiving the vaunted Man-Boy Memorial Pierogi Trophy.

All entrants will receive an OHW Pieorgi Eating Contest T-shirt, which is sure to become a much soughtafter collector's item.

All entrants must be 18 years of age or older. (Sorry youngsters, only adults possess the responsibility necessary to eat enough food in one sitting to feed a small African village).
