Skiffle has been described as a distinct blend of rockabilly, folk, ragtime and old style blues. The skiffle craze that swept Britain in the fifties inspired thousands of youths to pick up their first guitars, basses and washboards. Even the Beatles began as a skiffle group, called the Quarrymen...... The Old Line Skiffle Combo has appeared at a variety of venues including the Washington Folk Festival, Roots Cafe, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion in Tennessee, Night of 100 Elvises, Iota Club, Half Moon BBQ and the Road Agents weekender in Connecticut. 2005 shows have included the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender, the Rockin' 50s Fest in Green Bay, Wisconsin and a return to the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion.
Bandmembers of the Old Line Skiffle Combo have played with the Peashooters, Steubenville Knights, the Atomics, Blue Moment Jazz, Western Bop and the Boom BoomCats.
