Wind echoed through the trees of Swans Pool heading north towards the village of H-Field. Carried upon these winds were the Council of Owls searching the land for the old one. Through the stream, over the wastelands and into the Dark Woods of Tyth, the hoot of the night birds travelled with the breeze for many miles ahead and was heard by an un-expecting night dweller.
Alone he sat in a giant Oak, having just dispersed the Knights of the Owl Table after a crude night’s session of flowing tales from their tongues. Then after hearing the chorus of hoots on the wind he spread his wings and took flight into the night to meet those who could only be, the great council of owls.
After the meet, followed by a number of pleasantries the council were forced to change the subject to grave news and word of a devious plot. Explaining the treacherous force that had grown within their midst and how this force was planning a siege on the great music of birds by using the poems of undoing in an effort to relinquish the great birds of their voices thus undoing nature, and all that grows under the commanding tongue of the bird.
The Council of Owls had consulted all the major birding governments and had returned with the same reply from each, and that being the service of the, the Old Owl and the Knights of the Owl Table. In an effort to combat the evil that is threatening nature as we know it, the Old One and his Knights shall construct the tales of legend into the most terror strikingly beautiful songs and overwhelm the darkness.
