Most of the music on the radio today has its roots in Old School. Either by sampling the music of the time, or by reprising songs already released. But what it didn't keep was the positive message Old School was about. Today's music is all about drugs, alcohol, money and sex. Old school jams were all about having a good time and feelin' the groove, without the need to glorify drugs or the need to talk about your wallet size or how many women you have had relations with.
Noticing that as time passed, the younger generation knew nothing of real music,the OLD SCHOOL CONNECTION was formed. We are made up of 2 DJS that have never lost the love of Old School. DJ ALBERT and DJ TINY. Our mission is to enlighten the younger generation of music lovers as well as bring back those smooth grooves that many of us keep dear to our hearts. From the funk and afros of the late '70s to lowriding funk from '83 to the AQUA NET hairspray jams of '86, we aim to keep it alive. We are looking for a lounge or club to DJ, since there are no real good old School spots in the area. We can also do parties, so if you like what we're about, give us a shout. KEEP OLD SCHOOL ALIVE!
