Bluegrass, classic rock, blues, powerful theatrical music...as a musician I can appreciate all forms...except rap of course, that's not music!
Filmler
"Braveheart" (all time favorite) , 2nd runner up "Bram Stoker's Dracula"... that film was ART!
Ladyhawk, Excalibur, Highlander, Rob Roy, The Patriot, Last of the Mohicans, Gladiator, 300...
Period pieces seem to grab my attention apparently.
All Hammer Films! And not to forget all the classic Universal Monsters Movies...timeless.
Televizyon
Not a lot of television watching these days...other than Tennessee Titans Football!!!

Illustration related books like those on Frazetta, Pyle, Cornwell are almost never put down.
Recently read the "Famous Monster Move Art of Basil Gogos" (my name appears in the book! I was thrilled beyond belief) and "James Bama:American Realist"
Tons of internet reading and research.

My friends who have spanned the decades and remain loyal are my heroes...I am a rich man in that respect
Kimle tanışmak isterim: I have been fortunate in my life in that I have met those who inspired me and first carved the paths I have taken. From sharing a stage with Bill Monroe, the father of Bluegrass music (and his front porch with below listed friend Carl Jackson) to an afternoon with Frank Frazetta the man who ignited a creative spark in me over 43 years ago...it still burns with fury. Those who I wish I could have met that have passed on: Norman Rockwell, Howard Pyle, Maxfield Parrish, Dean Cornwell, Harvey Dunn, Meade Schaffer...are we seeing a pattern here? All the great old master illustrators fascinate me and inspire daily.
Horror icons Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, and Boris Karloff would have been interesting to meet no doubt.
And of course my ancestors all the way back to the early 15th century and Sir Richard De Preston, my grandfather X 10...it would be nice to know all my quirky character traits are inherited!
I am confident though that there are oceans of people still left worth meeting, the journey is just beginning.

As Thanksgiving Day rolls around, It brings up some facts, quite profound. We may think that we're poor, Feel like bums, insecure, But in truth, our riches astound.
We have friends and family we love; We have guidance from heaven above. We have so much more Than they sell in a store, We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.
So add up your blessings, I say; Make Thanksgiving last more than a day. Enjoy what you've got; Realize it's a lot, And you'll make all your cares go away.
