.. This one and only pre-war style jug band is based on the jug band style established in Louisville in the 1920's, and takes the historical background of the 78rpm sound source seriously. They received greatest inspiration from the renowned jug player "Earl McDonald", who was an enormous influence on the pre-war jug band scene in Louisville..... The band was formed around 2000 by members primarily from the Kansai area, as well as from the Hokuriku and Tokai regions. In 2002, they released their first album, "Carpet Alley-Breakdown", which consisted solely of well-known tunes of the Dixieland Jug Blowers that were composed in 1926 during the prime of the Blowers. In 2006, the band appeared in its historical documentary film "Chasin' Gus Ghost".
