Old Star King is an all-original music ensemble that plays everything from straight ahead jazz and latin to through-composed pieces.
We have recorded 3 full length albums plus a few singles: Trio o' Four, Dynamic Equilibrium, Silent Yellow god and a few live-to-tape recordings done at UC Riverside under the album title Live @ UCR.
Each C.D. contains between 8 and 12 pieces of music, and all are available for purchase. The music is all original and is written, produced, and copyrighted by Robert Winokur.
Old Star King is for hire as a live original group in the Inland Empire, Riverside and Los Angeles areas (we've even played the high desert). For "standards" gigs we travel under the name Trio O' Four. Contact @ myspace.com/trioofour.

The playing is going well. I recently acquired a Music Man Stingray and I couldn't be happier with it. Overall, my musicianship seems to be improving, or maybe its just a temporary phase. Anyway, hopefully we can meet up for a lesson sometime soon. And speaking of that, I recommended you to this child who was looking to find a bass instructor.
