Dave Marshall – banjo.
Dave has been playing acoustic music for over 45 years and the banjo for over 20 years. He has performed professionally at many Old Time music festivals and also teaches the banjo at workshops and privately. Dave and Andy appear together on the FOAOTMAD CD "Ripples across the pond" and also their own CD "I'll Fly Away". Dave plays a 1927 Vega Tubaphone, a Kevin Enoch model 300 and a Jason Romero fretless.
Andy Imms - guitar.
Andy has been listening to American Roots music since the mid 1950's. His particularly interests are Old Time Music and Country Blues. His association with Dave Marshall goes back over twenty years. They have travelled to Old Time festivals in the USA a number of times and have been privileged to sit in with some of the great players in the genre. Andy plays a 1998 Martin HD28VS.
John O’Connell - fiddle.
John has been playing fiddle since the age of 23 and guitar from the age of 16. Throughout his musical career he has been interested in Old Time, Bluegrass, Cajun and Country music. He has performed professionally in a wide variety of bands, appeared on TV and radio, and has made numerous recordings with Owen Stanley Rangers and Old Faded Glory. John plays Gliga and Tim Phillps fiddles and a Murphy mandolin.
Fiona Cameron - bass
Fiona has been actively involved in old time music for many years. She was a founder member of the “Friends of American Old Time Music and Dance” and was Editor of their magazine for 7 years. She is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, and enjoys both singing and playing the guitar, banjo, the fiddle and the double bass.
