A long time project with fits and starts and stops and pauses, members coming and going (or, in a few early cases, barely there before splitting for more active environs), 'olid Gol' is a source of both promise and frustration for all involved. Conceptually modelling ourselves after the classic rock template laid out by the big three (Beatles, Stones, Who) but sonically employing sounds of our true influences (Velvets, Can, Nirvana, Floyd, Loop, Sabbath etc.), we have a pretty large taspestry to play with. As such, so is the margin for error. In any case, the idea is that we attempt to do a myriad of styles but with our own greasy fingerprints all over them, and with a little luck, perhaps be a 'gateway' band to our more avant garde infuences and contemporaries.

Months ago several people suggested that we'd get nominated for the MySpace Impact Awards. Well, the day has come, next month the nominees for the "Social Justice" Category will be presented.
