A banda Oligarquia foi formada no inicio dos anos noventa (pra ser mais preciso em 1.992) por Panda Reis e Alex Chiovitti. Desde seu inicio a banda sofreu com os inúmeros problemas na formação, mas nunca desistindo, chegando a ponto de em 1.993, fazerem shows (no Estado de Minas Gerais) apenas como dupla jamais se rendendo ao enorme modismo que o País enfrentava naquele período.
A primeira demo tape da banda só saiu em 1.995, foi batizada de “Conviction of the Death”, e serviu pra colocar a banda de vez no underground nacional.
Depois dessa demo, rolaram algumas participações em coletâneas e compilações ao redor do Mundo.Mais mudanças na formação e a banda grava em 1.999 sua segunda demo tape, intitulada de “Really to be Dead”.
Essa demo tape teve uma produção melhor e um cuidado mais apurado com a parte gráfica (a arte da capa foi feita por um artista plástico exclusivamente pra essa demo, a capa na verdade é uma escultura de bronze) e uma distribuição mais cuidadosa e com isso conseguiram chegar a surpreendente marca de mais de 2.000 cópias desse material.
Tal fato chamou a atenção da gravadora Destroyer Records, que assinou um contrato com a banda para o debut Nechropolis, que foi lançado no inicio de 2.001 e rendeu a banda uma grande turnê pelo País e comentários inusitados do publico e da imprensa especializada.
Depois de novas mudanças na formação e a participação em mais algumas coletâneas e tocarem em festivais importantes (como Extreme Metal Fest, Da Tribo Festival, Poluição Sonora Festival, Noite Anti Musica e com Incantation no Sul), então a banda troca de gravadora e entra em estúdio (Mr. Som) pra começar a gravar seu novo cd.
De gravadora nova, agora com a Mutilation Records, e com uma nova formação a banda começa a gravar o sucessor do bem aceito Nechropolis, mas no meio das gravações, novamente a banda tem que mexer na formação da banda, trocando de guitarrista assim que as sessões de guitarras terminaram, Fernando “Jesus Crust” (hoje no C.H.C e Heresia), deixa a segunda guitarra (deixamos claro que a segunda guitarra de todo o álbum foram gravadas por ele). Em seu lugar entrou Guilherme Lopes, que teve liberdade pra ajudar a banda na mixagem e masterização. A banda sai em turnê antes mesmo de o cd sair, pois assim o novo integrante já iria se acostumando com a rotina da banda. A turnê começou dia 13 de Setembro em S.Paulo (Sesc Pompéia). O cd sai dia 13 de Dezembro de 2.003 com o nome de Humanavirus, e logo de inicio consegue ótimos resultados junto ao publico e a imprensa especializada (digo principalmente fanzines, webzines e rádios e Tvs alternativa, pois as grandes revistas continuam ignorando (ou não entendendo) a fúria e atitude da banda).
Em Janeiro de 2.004, a banda participa de um split mcd em Portugal chamado "Enslave By Light”, esse lançamento só saiu na Europa, sendo distribuído no Brasil, apenas pouquíssimas cópias, tornando esse split algo quase impossível de se achar no Brasil.
A "Humanavirus Tour" teve início mesmo em Setembro de 2003 em S.Paulo, e seguiu ininterrupta até o meio do mês de Dezembro de 2005, a banda da uma pausa para as festas de final de ano e com isso da por encerrada a Humanavirus Tour 2003/2004/2005, e já começa a pensar no novo disco. Mas no início de 2006 as coisas mudam e não agüentando o tédio de ficar longe dos palcos, resolvem agendar uma mini turnê pelo Sudeste do País que levou o nome de "Antes do Caos Mini Tour 2006" (S.Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Espírito Santo e Rio de Janeiro), que segue até o meio do ano de 2006.
A banda se tranca em estúdio de ensaios e começa a trabalhar pesado nas novas composições para o próximo álbum. Em meio ao processo de composição e criação do disco, Alex Chiovitti decide sair da banda para seguir novos caminhos e rumos para a sua vida pessoal, a banda resolve então recrutar não apenas um substituto, mas dois, aproveitando o momento para transformar a banda em quinteto, o que foi uma decisão acertada, pois a banda ganhou muito em dinamismo, postura de palco e principalmente postura ideológicas.
Max Hideo (Conexão Pentagrama/Ódio Macabro) foi o escolhido para assumir os vocais e Roque (DxOxR) é recrutado para assumir a segunda guitarra.
Com a banda estabilizada começam as gravações do novo disco no estúdio Top Noise, com a produção da própria banda e gravam então o disco mais old school da banda com o nome DISTILING HATE.
Agora a banda segue sua rotina de shows e turnês e divulgação do álbum.
A banda Oligarquia continua a mesma, porém mais atuante, consciente e cada dia mais old school , pois com as mudanças a banda pode olhar para si mesma e canalizar suas qualidades sem perder a postura e ideais que existem desde o início, ou seja, não apenas tocar para o headbangers baterem cabeça , mas fazer todos que tiverem contato com a sua musica raciocinarem.

Oligarquia was formed in the beginning of the Nineties (to be more exact in 1.992) by Panda Reis and Alex Chiovitti. Since the beginning the band suffered with the innumerable problems in the line-up, that in 1.993, the band made some gigs (in the State of Minas Gerais) only with the two former members never giving up to the enormous trend that the Country faced at that time. The first Demo was released in 1.995, is it was baptized "Conviction of Death", and carved the band’s name in the country’s underground. After this Demo, the band appeared in some compilations around the world. More line-up changes and the band record in 1.999 its second Demo, called "Really you be Dead".
This Demo had a better production and a more refined care with the graphical part (the art of the cover was made by a plastic artist exclusively for the Demo, the cover is a bronze sculpture) and a more careful distribution, with this, the band reached the surprising mark of more than 2,000 copies sold. That fact got the eyes of the label Destroyer Records, who signed a contract with the band for the debut Nechropolis, which was released in the beginning of 2.001 and in the upcoming tour around the Country the band got an unusual feedback of both crowd and the specialized press.
After new line-up changes and participations in more compilations, playing at important Brazilian (and supporting Incantation tour), with a new label behind, now under the label Mutilation Records, the band enters at Mr. Som studios to record its new album, but while recording, the band had again to change the line-up with the guitar player coming out right after recording his takes, Fernando "Jesus Crust"(now in the C.H.C and Heresy. In his place Guilherme Lopes entered, who had freedom to help to the band in mixing and mastering the album. The band hit the road before the new album hit the stores, so the new member could get into the band’s running rhythm.
The tour started at September 13th in S.Paulo (Sesc Pompéia) and the album came out at December 13th of 2.003 and was called Humanavirus, and since the release it obtains excellent results of who listened it and from the specialized press (I mean fanzines, webzines, radios and alternative TVs, therefore the bigger ones continue to ignoring (or not understanding) the fury and attitude of the band) In January of 2.004, the band got into a split mcd released in Portugal called "Enslave By Light", this Split was released only in Europe, being distributed in Brazil, but with only a few copies, becoming almost impossible of finding it in Brazil.
The "Humanavirus Tour" started in September of 2003 in S.Paulo, and followed non-stop until December, so the band had a break for the holidays at end of year and with this the Humanavirus Tour 2003/2004/2005 had ended, and the band already starts to think about the new record. But in the beginning of 2006 the things changed and bored to be far of the stages, decides to set appointments of one mini-tour in the Southeast of the Country that took the name of "Before the Chaos Mini Tour 2006" (Around the states of S.Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Espirito Santo and Rio De Janeiro), that went until the middle of 2006.
Starting in the second half of 2006 until the half of 2007, the band went locked in studios to compose the songs for the new album, thinking only about the songs, thematic and everything that the creation of this record involved. After 15 years of pure traditional Death Metal, without worrying about the support of the specialized media and without participating of any trend and expecting any help from anyone, the band arrived until here honest and without contradicting itself, making the same music that they made for 15 years...
In the next months the band will work heavy in spreading and distributing the new album III and also start to set appointments (also for the next months), for the tour that will divulge the album, that tour will have the silly name of " III World Tour 2009 ” the vicious cycle continues... the world continues to turn, the injustices, inaquality and everything that the HomoSapiens created continues suffocate the world, continues to suffocate true senses and laws of the universe... this extremely continues to bother us and we will continue to write about this... about our worthless human race, about our worthless existence and about our uncontrolled greed and selfishness... the human race continues to bothering us, then we will continue to point its defects, its errors and its contradictions. Our incredulity and hate do not end so easily, we still have a lot of hatred, despite and a feeling of failure and an enormous disdain for all the hypocrisy of the human being...
Our stupid religious society, conservative, mentally ill, racist, alienated, preconcepted, continues as the fuel for our songs. While the blood run in our veins, while still it makes sense and while still exist at least one person to hear what we have to say and to hear our music, we will continue making the traditional Death Metal that we’re making for 15 years."
