Olinda Cordova is one of today’s hottest cross-over Latin R&B artists, positioned for stardom. Olinda is setting a new standard for excellence in the music industry. She is a mixture between Latin/Pop stars Shakira and Selena. This amazing artist has so much going for her: killer vocal chops, a songwriting gift way beyond her tender years, and stunning looks.
She has the voice and style that appeal to both the Latin audience and the current Pop audience. With the revolution of digital media, Olinda has reached unseen and uncharted markets allowing her to grow beyond the traditional method of branding new recording artists. She has received more than 100,000 downloads in just one month, racking up over 4 MILLION total hits.
Additionally, Olinda has opened for Grammy Nominee Victor Manuelle, Vicente Fernandez, Yolanda Del Rio, Banda Machos, Graciela Beltran, Aventura, Xtreme, and Sin Bad, just to name a few.
Olinda has also performed, by special invitation, for Joseph and Kathryn Jackson, parents of pop icon, Michael Jackson.
Olinda has proven she can handle herself both on stage and in the recording studio and has earned praise from fans and critics across the country.
She has collaborated with Grammy winner Brian “Red” Moore from Q-Productions, who produced works for Selena, and with Grammy nominated producer/songwriter Jud Friedman (who produced works for Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand, and Chaka Khan) and songwriter Michael Figueroa (Frankie J, Faith Hill).
Olinda is currently co-writing the Intel Corporation Momentum Worldwide song for children with 3 time Grammy winner Jose Luis Morin, who has written for Olga Tanon, Thalia, and Paulina Rubio. She will begin recording with 10-time Grammy winner Krys Sebastian in December 2008.
Olinda’s CD “The Triumph” is the heaviest release from Illuminated Entertainment Group “The Triumph” will hit stores everywhere in the USA and Japan on February 10, 2009. So far this is also the biggest release this year for the distribution company Select-O-Hits, mostly known for multi-platinum recording artists like Jimmy Buffet, Three Six Mafia and most recently country singer Jason Meadows.
Maybe there is more to life than living. Existence has more meaning as a means. Maybe life's a gift that's well worth giving Once the sacrifice distills the dreams. Remember, then, the heroes we have squandered In ignorance and fear and lust and greed. All sacrifice ought equally be honored Lest we confuse the courage with the need. Destiny decrees the undreamed end As some die for the dreams they would defend, Yet yearning for what lies beyond the deed~~~~~{WW}~~~Wayne

Hi OLINDA! Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others. This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace! http://www.myspace.com/thesweetband Also, check out our friend Red Hot Chili Pepper Chad Smith's new band, Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats and their iTunes Top 10 Funk/Jazz debut release, "Meet the Meatbats"! http://www.myspace.com/bombasticmeatbats
