Formed in 2003, the foursome from Welland, Ontario consists of ferocious lead singer Serena Pruyn, guitarist Nicolas Lesyk, bassist Greg Zack and drummer Allan Colavecchia.
The band relocated to Austin, TX, to write and soak up them great Southern vibes.
Oliver Black’s musical talent and unique song-writing attracted the attention of several legendary producers including mega-producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel), Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Gggarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Trapt).
Being in the center of musical interest, Austin demanded pure talent. Oliver Black embraced this notion by touring with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Silvertide, Saliva and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The bands exclusive worldwide booking agency, The Agency Group, is also home to major recordings artists such as Nickelback and the White Stripes.
During their stay in the Lone Star State, the band recorded Oliver Black Live In Texas EP in Beaumont in summer 2005 produced by Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin).
