Oliver future is back! After downsizing, due to the nation's troubling economic meltdown, the three remaining members have a taken a giant leap by moving forward as a power trio.
Members Noah & Josh lit, and Sam raver (relocated to drums) have been fine tuning a whole new set up specially designed to make any hipster rethink that mustache, rat-tail hair do, and cut off jean shorts. It's rock & roll in it's purest form, built on the ashes of broken dreams and friendships.
What once was five, now is three, bigger yet smaller, and plain and simple its better! Oliver future is currently back in the studio with producer Adam Lasus working on their upcoming release titled "out of the wreckage".
Like the Cerberus, the three headed dog guarding the gates of hell, Oliver future invites you to enter, but only at your own risk.

Bio Was too long. So we've shrunk it in the dryer. 3 Boys, guitars, keyboards and drums. We like long walks on the beach, Tom Waits and Axl Rose. Named after a car accident between Olivia Newton John, and the Future prime minister of Rangoon (Crab Rangoon), Oliver Future have been playing kick ass shows in LA, NYC and most places in between. We are originally from Austin, and get back there often, but we left after gambling most of our estates on a heated game of Jenga. We mostly like to play in our eastern neighborhoods of LA, cuz gas is expensive and we get scared when we're too far away from our house in LA. but sometimes play various parts each in Arthur Miller plays that we perform in our livingroom. We are looking for love... and rockets or a label but I know that's alot to ask for, so we'll just keep on myspace cuz it is far better than actually leaving the house! Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoy the tunes... they are free!
“Oliver Future’s Pax Futura is – like Radiohead’s The Bends or Weezer’s Pinkerton – both a mission statement of creativity and a shout-out loud masterpiece, the kind of record that you turn up in order to both sing-and-think along.”
— Esquire.com, July 24, 2007
“Musically, Oliver Future range from the hazy indie-rock wash of “Stranger Than The Stranger,” which is coated in Josh Lit’s keyboards, to the new-wave swirl of “Happiness Machine” and the pastoral spaciness of “Whispering Wintry Wind… these guys are brimming with pop potential.”
— LA Weekly (Los Angeles, CA), September 28, 2007
“An ambitious and intelligent album, blowing away the three-minute pop formula by fusing songs, turning up the sonic texture and filling every inch of the album with a hook (think The Flaming Lips and Wilco).”
— Performer Magazine (West Coast), August 2007
“Ranges from delicate folk to chunky, psychedelic riff-rock to crooning pop, sometimes within the same song.”
— Boston Globe (Boston, MA), September 10, 2007
“Each tune is peppered with memorable melodies, interesting percussion and the same kind of kooky bravado that informed the Flaming Lips’ ‘Clouds Taste Metallic.’”

Had a good time tonight at the Spaceland show. I know there were some technical problems, but you guys are still doing great stuff. Can't wait for the new album, and the next show!
