Being a child he saw Herbie Hancock playing Rockit live, which made Oliverio want to become an electronic musician. Then he became a DJ by accident - "The best accident in my life...", as he says. Hernan Cattaneo (Pacha Buenos Aires resident DJ and Oliverio's friend) and Pacha's director let him do the warm up for one night as they didn't liked any of the other DJs that used to play at the club. They didn't say that to Oliverio who, one night, had to start playing music at the club as there was no other DJ in the room. They were delighted with his performance and offered him the job permanently. From there onwards, he begun his own career and shared the booth with names such as Fatboy Slim, Circulation, Layo and Bushwacka, Peace Division, Adam Freeland, Jimmy Van M, John Pleased, Darren Price, Darren Emerson, Angel Molina, Plastikman, James Zabiela, Natural Born Chillers, Neils Lansdtrum, John Carter, Yousef, Colin Dale and Way Out West among others.
He took part in several events including Creamfields Buenos Aires 2001-2003 (as both: musician and DJ), Speed Unlimited. Absolut Vodka, Vans Tour sponsored by Tower Records (DJ), Inrockuptibles Magazine Event, MTV Latinoamérica official presentation (musician).
In 2000, his radio show (together with Alejandro Lacroix on the most important electronic music station on in Argentina - www.metro 951.com) takes his name to a high recognition level throughout the year. At the time, MTV was already showing 3 of his videos on 120 Minutos (a 2 hour program on electronic music). He also composed music for TV commercials for brands like Evian, Chevrolet, Compaq, Sony and Phillips among others.
Being an Argentinean musician, he couldn't help it and went for Tango. Oliverio recorded voices for 2 of Gotan Project's tracks at his own studio. Piazzola's official website includes Oliverio's drum 'n bass version of "Adiós Nonino".
In 2001, tired of the routine in Buenos Aires, Oliverio settles down in Barcelona, Spain where together with singer Nat Clavier gives birth to Outlanders . They now perform live electronic music with some "tango strokes".
2005 has lots of work in store for Oliverio. His first track under the record label Off Side Recordings (owned by Oliverio and his brother - MOS) will be published later this year. "Break My Mind", has been composed by him and remixed by Hernan Cattaneo with whom he already composed "240", a tune which will be published in the coming months. Also he produced some original productions and remixes with MOS. These tracks will be released by labels like Mixturi & Pissed Off and are being included in chart and DJ sets of Hernan Cattaneo, Shiloh and Blue Room Project to name just a few.
Searching for new artistic experiences he joins Hernan and Gabriel Scapussio to make their own software for audiovisuals called Visual Jammer . So he now starts his media-DJ carreer. (Visual Jammer has already toured through Brazil, Argentina and took part in the prestigious SONAR festival in Barcelona). Oliverio creates visual images for Hernan Cattaneo under the name of World Of Trash . He also wrote & produced 22 tracks for a movie soundtrack called "Hot Milk" which will be released on the 8th of April in Spain and later this year worldwide. --Until 2006--
----- SOUNDEXILE -----2006-2008
Formed in december 2006, the guys had a clear idea of what they wanted...
...not to be like anyone else.
In an era, where cloned copies are made of each successful individual,
where music lost it..s soul, just to become a mere income,
these guys have the nerve to state: “... we..re not gonna sound like
anyone else, we won..t stick to formulas, and we..ll make music for the
fun of it, and for everyone to enjoy...”
And that..s exactly what they..re doing.
One track may have minimal influences, while the other borders techno,
some will be sung, some will be downtempo , and some will be just pure
experimentation.
This attitude has made them some nice friends in the music industry,
such as Hernan Cattáneo, Sasha, Anthony Pappa, Oliver Klein & D-Nox
to name but a few.
Also, prestigious record labels such as Urbantorque, Global Underground,
Loft Music (Trafik), Plastik Park (D-Nox), Kumquat Tunes & Destroy The Ego,
have payed close attention to these 2 guys, and snapped several tracks
to be released throughout 2008.
2008 will also see the guys work on a full album to be played live with
2 laptops, 2 controllers, assorted fx & keyboards and a drum pad, for
those Terry Bozio moments.
So now, it..up to you to decide if they live up the expectation.
As the guys themselves state in their website:
“... we could bore you with why we chose Soundexile as our
name, but we know that in the end, the music is
the only thing that matters.
we put our hearts and souls into each song,
and we benefit from the diversity of influences
each one of us has, to break the barriers of
genre and style, and make a different type
of electronica...”

CE Records forty reference comes from the weel known Mingroove and is entitled "BEHIND SCENES EP" "Behind Scenes" features 3 cuts, Mingroove’s original version, plus remixes from his alter ego, Juan Carlos Herrera and the renowned Spanish producer Pablo Bolivar. The EP has a marked tendency to the field of deep house, but not leave out the groove wich makes it attractive for the dance floors.
The original mix show us a new face of mingroove, much more deep than other ocassions but with a nice and pleasant Groove, the bass line has some funky vibe and pads give a sense of warmth to result in a nice tune perfect for early hours, very easy listening, pleasing both to chat, have some drinks or just take a few movements on the dancefloor. The remix of Juan Carlos Herrera, even while maintain the deep line of the EP, incorporates certain elements that gives a Tech vibe, synthesized bass line fits perfectly and toms and percussion give a lot of movement and interesting rhythm very. To hear is to dance.
Closing the EP we find the remix of Pablo Bolivar, Cantabria born Dj/Producer, currently embarked on his latest LP worldtour offers a version very faithful to his trademark style. Deep House with some tech vestige. Direct, warm, friendly, synthetic, with tons of Groove and fully effective on the dancefloor.
This is a deep/tech house release: "Cold Desert" mix some latin percussive sounds with a vintage synth creating an "end of summer" melancholic atmosphere. "Vacation" is a dark groovy house track with a dreamy hypnotic pad and clicky beats. IPO//011 IS OUT NOW!
