oliver squash has been recording since 1990. he has been recognised for hi psychedelic/experimental and somewhat disturbing mood music. First reviewd in alternative press back in jan/feb 1992 of alternative press in a column called demorandum by jim santo, this led squash from a cultural wasteland(his hometown) and into the world of mail/art underground. This was quite pleasing for squash. Being introduced to obscured music from around the globe is quite interesting. he is definitely all DIY. Good music but never to be considered marketable.
He has played coast to coast with some shows being great and some turning into disasters but that is the nature of improvisation and taking chances live.
His interest are art in general and especially music such as punk, advant-garde, space rock, blues, funk, and anything created by people who dont try and be like somebody else and doesnt care about the industry.
Squash hasnt released anything new as of late but watch out. He is now a recovered addict and now has a home to live in after many years of struggling with these problems and no funds. Squash hopes to come at ya with new material soon whatever it shall be. maybe some punk, maybe some blues and i'm sure it will be spacey after all that is where he comes from.
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Your music creates some interesting moods. Wormrigg and 28 Whores are both focusing on finishing up albums right now, but hopefully we can play together in the future. We'll let you know as soon as we start setting up live shows.

It's always great hearing from you even if I am slow to get through messages. I tend to see comments and blog comments sooner than bulletin responses, but eventually, I get them if my inbox doesn't eat them first! So, I hope you have a great weekend and I'll leave you with this quote;
"I simply can't build my hopes on a foundation of confusion, misery and death... I think... peace and tranquillity will return again." ~Anne Frank
If you fully understand who she is, that quote is actually way more significant and makes our own issues look quite insignificant!
