In 2004, he released an independent album entitled Pêche aux Rêves that was greatly inspired by his travels over a span of five years. The album speaks of the musical and cultural diversity that he experienced over this period, where he traveled abroad to Europe, Asia, and Australia. It is flavored with hints of bossa-nova, swing and eastern european dance. The album launch took place in the springtime at the well-known cultural venue Café Utopik in Montréal. The musicians featured on the album are Anit Ghosh on violin, Josh Goldman and Seamus Cowan on double-bass and Anes Berlebegovic on percussion.
Olivier Adoue is perpetually active on the music scene, performing and writing new material. He frequently plays with his quartet as well as in intimate solo settings at venues throughout Montreal and eastern Canada.
