Olivine: a trio from the Blue Mountains determined to earn a reputation based on a gripping live performance and genuine song writing.
Linden, Rob and Grant have spent the past year completing the five-track EP ‘Ours’, named in reflection of a personal bond to the stories behind the tracks. The trio explores sounds from punchy sample-laden rock, acoustic pop stylings to an epic orchestral finale as Linden’s compelling vocal performance draws the listeners’ attention to some remarkable climactic moments.
Our strength in voice coupled with honest, emotive lyrics has sparked comparisons to Jeff Buckley, while elaborate rhythms and guitars bring Incubus to mind. Our live shows are about bringing our audience into the place we escape to – momentarily ignoring the garbage going on outside and enjoying a good rock-out with good friends.
Grant and Robert are qualified audio engineers and Linden is a passionate music theatre performer. Our edge in the sound production department coupled with Linden’s stage experience and love of the limelight has lead to a memorable live show and an altogether enthralling EP.
