If you remember us with a smile, we did our job and it was all worthwhile. Thanks for the good times, friends. And -like the song says: "Don't worry about a thing...every little thing is gonna be alright". ************************
So Long, Our Friends. Farewell.
They say that "all good things must come to an end". And - such is true with Ollie & Co Skate Park.
It is with a heavy heart that we must say "good-bye".
March will be our last month of operation. Stay tuned for the final date.
We have looked very diligently for partners during the past 2 years as well as given good, hard efforts to sell the park and keep it where it is. While there is an interested party in continuing the park at Ollie & Co, we also have an interested party in moving the skatepark to a new location. Unless these efforts are successful, Ollie & Co will be left with the sadness of goodbye.
Words cannot explain the gratitude that we have for our past and current customers. We have made soooo many wonderful relationships along the way and we value each and every one of them. ******
To all of our special friends who have skated with us: There have been so many great times. We have laughed, loved, and lived through the eyes of all riders and visitors who have passed through our doors. We've had some great comps and seen some phenomenal riders. We've met some awesome pros who have made time for us. We've met kids who each had their own stories to tell, and each made us laugh and appreciate the youth in our communities. You are truly all vibrant individuals. Never sell yourselves short, and always dare to dream! Despite the hard work and long hours that have been put in to continuing the operations of Ollie & Co, you have made the whole venture worthwhile. **********
To Lee & Matt: The Managers of Ollie & Co: you have committed long hours of your time - day after day - with no complaints and little time off. It is your personalities that stand in the forefront of Ollie & Co. Without you, the park would not have been around as long as it has. **********
To other employess (past & present): we will continue to value the friendships that we have come to know. Thank you for the time that you have given us and for your continued support at the park. **********
To TEAM ONC: You have dedicated your time and skills to the events at Ollie & Co and we are grateful. We have seen your talents escalate to new levels and we have been proud to call you our "TEAM". A "Team" works together, skates together, and stands by one another. You are a "Team" - in every since of the word. Keep the spirit of skateboarding alive. Who knows....maybe we'll see you in the boarding magazines! **********
To the Thieves who Burglarized Ollie & Co in January 2007 and February 2009: Another burglary occurred at Ollie & Co on Weds night (02/25) or early Thurs morning (02/26). A window was broken for entry and all cash registers as well as other items were stolen. It is devastating to put so much time and energy into creating a great, supervised, structured venue for our communities -- only to have thieves destroy the motivation in just a moments notice. Thieves, you are weak cowards who lie, steal, and cheat. You are not worthy of such a wonderful facility and you most certainly are a terrible influence on the kids who are skateboarding today. You would not like people stealing from you, yet you have no shame in such a horrible crime. You will never be "stand up" citizens who can be trusted. You will never know what truth is or what the "good life" is all about. You will live with your decisions to invade and steal from others - simply because you are too lazy and too worthless to make better choices or to care at all. We will pray to God to give you strength to be a better person, and we pray to God to bless your children for you will not get far in life with no consideration for others.
**********
Our last day of operation will be Sun., March 29 so
please get to the park and skate with us one more time to let us bid our final farewells! We wish you joy and lots & lots of happiness, but above all, we thank you and hope to see you around town!
Peace.
