JAMZ VIEW:
Ollie and Jamz met one fateful day 3 years ago in the closing stages of 2004. We both knew a krusty and smelly white brer called Estiban. He happened to be the soulmate of Jamz and had known Ollie through a hippie called Tammy. We'd always said to each other during our brief meetings that we should meet up and write a tune. Ollie is one of the most amazing , warm and openly loving guys i'd ever had come across..In a completely HETEROSEXUAL way...In a time when i was lost as a person and had no direction, ollie would help me get really stoned and ask me just to play my guitar..I would spend hours just playing him routines I had developed over the years, but only to myself, as music was always told to me that it is entirely a hobby. 3 years on and I understand now that that is a truly false statement as I am discovering it is a way of life...a broke one at the moment, but nonetheless I see it incorporating all of the highest disciplines of any academic subject and puryfying it through sound.
Within an hour of sitting down with each other we had written our first track called 'Let Us Be'. In the coming weeks and months we went on a writing binge and wrote and re wrote around 20 tunes. In this time we had also recorded a four track Ep with our good friends Jordapadan and The (K)OOKIE monster, who to this day is continuing his little missions and is producing the highest quality of mashed-up electro plasctic, d'n'b, breakbeat squat inspired ragga filth. The sound of these tracks are completely different to the known Ollie and Jamz sound that you get to hear when we play. In fact olle aka "Kotchin" and I have plans in motion to create a Live Dance outfit, as we both agree that we want people TO DANCE!! as we both were inspired from an early age to the Junglalist movement of the 90's.
OLLIES VIEW:
Music touches billions of people from all corners of the globe, it cuts through to the core of human emotion, the vibrations contain healing properties with the ability to interact with others at a personal level, mental and in some cases spiritually.
Songs have moved the hearts of many nations, breaking down cultural barriers, given people hope and raising awareness!
I see our music as a collage that paints the way we have felt over a long period of time, capturing things we've experienced, lost and found.
Music is a reflection of life, peoples lives come in many shapes and forms and so does music. I hope you enjoy ours!!

oli mate my mum gave me a copy of the kotchin debut album havnt stopped playing it every day to everyone i know! some of the tunes on there man jesus christ i dont know what to say ordinary people deserves to be MASSIVE...!!! It’s no guarantee that we have been shortlisted for the final, but we hope it is a good sign....
