About me:

The quickest and best way to contact us is by e-mail. we only check MySpace very occassionally. Check the websites at www/koolhousepublishing.com. Thanks for buying our mags! What about us? Ol' Skool Rodz is pretty easy to explain. We're just a bunch of lifelong gearheads that decided it was time someone cranked out a magazine about the kinds of hot rods and custom cars we grew up with. We're talking cars that are actually affordable for the average Joe who doesn't own his own bank.

Ol' Skool Rodz is different from some of the other rod magazines out there in a couple of ways. We don't pay homage to the trailer queens that seem to have permeated our rodding society in the past few years. Hot rods are made to be driven. Paint chips are inevitable... if you have paint at all; so be it.

Ol' Skool Rodz is a hot rod magazine for the builders and drivers of the cars. Our advertisers understand that because most of them are hot rodders, too. Our tech articles don't feature purchased bolt-on items. They are usually low-buck how-to stories written by guys who actually do the work; often on our own cars. If we feature a store-bought item, you can bet it works like it's supposed to. Otherwise, we wouldn't use it.

If you like sharp hot rods and customs that show what a guy and his friends can crank out in their own garages, then you're one of us. If you're not afraid to get a little grease under your fingernails and you don't mind helping the guy next door wet sand his fenders at midnight, welcome.

Our forums are frequented by the kinds of guys and gals we just described. They can offer some great advice on how to do a job right. They'll also admit some things they've done wrong to save you from doing the same. Dive in. You'll learn from them and they'll learn from you. That's what Ol' Skool Rodders do.
