About me:
The Olympia Stubbies Soccer Club of Olympia, Washington has been playing in and around the Olympia area since the late 1990's under a variety of names including F.C. Gunners, Casa Mia Cosmos, Zittel's Marina Fighting Zebus and slippery people.
In early 2006 the name "Olympia Stubbies" was adopted by the club as both a tribute to our home city, and in recognition of the fabled Olympia Brewing Company which finally closed it's doors in 2003, much to the dismay of many Olympians.
The Stubbies Play 3 Co-ed sessions each year in Olympia (spring, summer and fall), and also play in select Washington State Soccer Association (WSSA) tournaments including The Jet City Invitational at Seattle's 60 Acres Complex in June, Bellingham's Ballapolloza in late July, and the Yakima Sunburn in mid August.
Although primarily a Co-ed team, there have been separtate men's and women's teams for tournament play in the past.
