This page is dedicated to getting the word out to all those 'kids' who were in the Omaha punk/alternative scene in the mid 80's thru the early 90's.
If, back in that time period, you found yourself hanging out in Little King's parking lot down in the Market on a Friday night or heading to Drastic Plastic in search of rare EP's, apparel or skateboards they just didn't carry at those 'OTHER' record stores, this page is for you.
Do you remember spending weekend nights at the Lifticket, Sokol or Sorenson Hall rockin' to whatever punk bands blew into town that week?
Do the words Dog Daze, conjure up fuzzy memories of camping in 90+degrees, listening to live music, eating watermelon carved like jack-o-lanterns, and uh...let's say other 'recreational' activities?
What weekend would be complete without spending a quiet evening at the Dude Ranch, Pete's Dark and mysterious Dungeon, the notorious Farnam Street House or at somebody's cramped apartment over in the Bluffs?
If any of this strikes a chord with you, you most likely were a part of "the scene" that I speak of and should be present at this long overdue gathering.
Thanks to many people's hard work, March 29th will be set aside for us all to get together in Omaha and compare notes on what the hell's been going on in our lives for the past 20 plus years.
Be sure to take a look at the pics to see some familiar faces. Check back as more will be added often.

Frank Navetta, founding member and guitarist for the Descendents, fell ill over the past few days and passed away on October 31, 2008. Besides naming the band, Frank wrote a ton of great songs and was a great friend. He will be truly missed.
We don't have any information about funeral or memorial services at the moment. We'll pass along information for any public services when we find out.
I like Megan's idea of kickball. I like Kerry's idea of bowling (are we talking about with pins or without or both?) I like Dee's idea of a "Dog Days" event with camping and all the good shit. I would like Arm-Me to play but Widmark had to go and fucking die!!!....dumbass (I know it wasn't his choice....still....DUMBASS!!!)
