Despite the fact that it's always a stress and i swear i'll never do it again after each one, I'm putting on a gig this Friday at the Fenton. It annoys me that there aren't more punk shows in Leeds, especially when i hear about how good it used to be. Anyway, this one will be sweet, come to it.
FIND A WAY - Fast pop punk from Dublin, Ireland. Sound a bit like New Found Glory etc... But not in a totally gay way. They don't sing in American accents, they don't have chug chug beatdowns. They're generally just good. We played with them in Dublin last year and they were amazing. Can't wait to see them again.
Cutting Class - My band, we're alright. Bit fast, bit melodic. If you were lazy you'd say we sound like Shook Ones/KD. Just come see us, it's worth it so see Jarvis's beautiful face on the bass right?
Break The Habit - As far as i know, BTH are the first band ever to tour that feature and ape on guitar... i might be wrong about that. Everyone knows Jay and Rory from Los Mendozas, this is their 'serious' band. They sound like Latterman, that's a really good thing. Jay's a nice guy... really nice guy. But really, they're great
Burn Alaska - Featuring Jon from 'Ryan and Jon' on drums and people who do Yeah Right and Moustache on the rest of the instruments. I've not seen them yet but the songs on the myspace are sick! Really fast, really cool vocals, really cool dudes. This isn't there second gig either, far from it.
Ship to Shore have had to pull out, but i'm hoping to replace them with a Leeds punk band (one of the only two not already playing this) It's only £3, there's no excuse really! Sweet music, sweeter dudes all round.
