Shaun	Aug 17 2007 5:08 PM I saw that comment, so i thought I'd add to it. The seigdamer thing. It's a bit like the whole thing that when you get older, and if you reminisce with a friend you'll remember some sort of a favourite past-time (we had a game called Little Dumplings - you stick someone in a sleeping bag upside down and they run around trying to catch you and everyone else pushes the 'dumpling' till he/she can catch and name someone) and we then re-enact them. The seigdamer was something my mum found in a shop when I was rather small. She bought me it and (just like when my dad bought me the single by Barenaked Ladies) I blushed and found it hilarious. Then I brought it home to show Max and it became a sort of tradition to buy them when you went to Norway and give them to friends. Everyone loves booby-ladies. (That's what most people just call them) See, I think I've maybe got this sort of sub-conscious competitive nature in me. Something that makes me want to read as many books as I can. It was merely because the film is coming out that I began to re-read the book. And maybe I'll start re-reading more books now. Or maybe I'll go back to my old single-reading self. But I have a book essay I'll need to write in English, so I'll have to re-read a book I loved. (Most probably by Christopher Brookmyre, Glaswegian author). But now I'm going to go and watch Blades of Glory. Ta ra!

Could be the only reason me and Max go to Norway (to buy Seigdamer, it'd be worth a plane ticket just for them). And i've started reading His Dark Materials again. It's turned out to be pretty impressive for a second read. (Never read a book twice before) Just thought you'd like to know. Have you tasted those sour seigmen, or whatever they're called? They don't look very tasty...
