onara literally began underground, writing/jamming in a basement and warehouse in the state of RI as an instrumental rock band. It was about 4 yrs. ago, 1 DJ, 2 guitarists, 1 keyboard player and about dozen singers later and onara is defining it's sound. onara truly stands out with pure original and addictive tunes. It's difficult to pinpoint their genre, which has often been described as an underground post-grunge, metal, electronic, industrial, punk rock vibe. The songs are filled with stories of relationships, parties, betrayal, love, institutions and addresses topics such as voyeurism, computer viruses and politics. onara's debut CD, Out Of Print, (limited cd's left to buy)released on April 22nd. The album was recorded, produced, engineered, and mixed in their home studio.

This past Sunday we went out to Pahrump, NV on a mission to record with our new drummer Teo (Rad Gerbil) at Rob's Livingroom Productions (Onara's Guitarist). We re-recorded "Buy A Bigger Boat", "The Man" & "How to tell if she's Bipolar."
In addition, we recorded "Kick Your Ass" & "Erectile Dysfunction." We decided to record live to get that Old School-East Coast Punk sound. We feel that we acheived that goal. ;0
