Kevin Still - Guitars, Keys, and vocals. And, oh yeah, I wrotes all of the songs too!
Jim Hutchin - Drums and percussion.
Influences
First and foremost, The Beatles. I was four years old when I saw them on Ed Sullivan and from that moment on I wanted to be like them. Later came the Rolling Stones, YES, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, U2, Janis Joplin, Patti Smith, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Emerson Lake and Palmer, The Allmans, The Moody Blues, Chet Atkins, Kate Bush, John Coltrane, The Doors, Robert Johnson, Daniel Johnston, Martin Taylor, Early Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Scotty Moore, and throw Rush in there for good measure. I asked Jim this same question and he gave me three drummers that helped ignite him with inspiration and they were - Bobby Colomby (of Blood Sweat and Tears), Mitch Mitchell (the great drummer with Jimi), and the legendary Buddy Rich.
Sounds Like
I'm sure you could say it sounds like....
But I am not really sure how to answer. Look at the influences and I am sure it will give you an idea!
The first song I learned how to play was Johnny B. Goode. The second was Jumpin' Jack Flash. The third was Yesterday. I wanted to write songs right away. I sucked at it. Then I got better. Then I got married. Then I lost my focus and desire. Then I got divorced (10 years later) Then I got my focus and desire back. Then I started recording. Then I got married again (focus and desire still intact so I guess that I found my Linda McCartney). Then I produced an album for another band. Then I recorded with my own band. Then we started learning cover songs (lost my focus again). Then we played one show. Then I quit the next day (got focus back real quick). I want to add that these guys are my friends and my decision to leave the band was in no way a bad reflection on them. They are excellent musicians and are, in fact, helping me complete my solo album. I just decided that I want to concentrate on original music and not listen to drunks yelling for Freebird anymore. Now, recording first solo album (focus and desire at all time high)! And I am happy to share it with you here on MySpace. The background image is the new album cover. It was created by Daniel Johnston circa 1979.
hi! iam wolfgang the guitarist of dreamscape. we should learn to be the best persons we can be and our world will change. i try. but it's not as easy as playing guitar in a high class band...
H. Jackson Brown: Good character is more to be praised than outstanding talent. Most talents are, to some extent, a gift. Good character, by contrast, is not given to us. We have to build it, piece by piece -- by thought, choice, courage, and determination.
