This is something that I felt I just HAD to share with all of you. My only daughter, the youngest of 4....is quite musically inclined. I filmed this last week (10/08) of her playin' around on the Keyboard. Check out her fingering.
Music
Just about anything except BlueGrass.....HOWEVER, My Absolute FAVORITE singer is Phoebe Snow. Not many people of my age and likeness know who she is...but we've all heard her voice before, even if we don't know it. My appreciation for her comes from her lyrics and originally styled music. As a young girl, I always wanted to be able to write like Phoebe.I must say that my favorite male artist would have to be a tie between Will Downing and Eric Benet, although their styles, voices, etc. are different....I appreciate both of them for their respective genres.
Movies
I LOVE Horror and Mysteries. I think my favorites are ones based on true event. Real life is so much stranger and scarrier at times, than fiction. My favorite movie is ALADDIN (I know its a cartoon...but I love how much he loves Jasmine), my second favorite movie is THE LEGEND OF 1900(Awesome for a true music lover), my next favorite would have to be FACE/OFF...I could watch that movie everyday.
Television
It's gotta be the Crime Scene Investigations.....Law and Orders, Without a Trace...anything pretty much dealing with mysteries.
Books
Anything motivational and inspirational.
Heroes
My mother, my father, my grandfather, my sister, my best friend and love of my life...MY HUSBAND.....and I can't forget my Aunt Angela. She is an artist and a poet and just an amazing person. She is also one of my biggest supporters when it comes to my music and my writing. They are all my heroes because no matter what has happened in our lives they have always continued to love and support me and whatever dreams I have had regardless of any mistakes that I have made along the way.

First and foremost I am a WIFE and Mother. I am a poet, singer and songwriter who also enjoys writing my own music on my upright piano at home. I spend the majority of my time surrounded by the two things I love the most....music and family.
I'm originally from Dayton, OH, currently living in Jackson, MS but I have spent much of my life equally split between MS and OH.....so I consider myself a southern girl with a Northern accent.
As I mentioned one of my greatest passions is that of self expression. I have come across several "Spaces" that contain beautiful and creative works of various styles. Be it music or otherwise. I hope to share some of my works on this site as well. And I look forward to getting the opportunity to meet other artists as well.
I have another "secret" passion that I'm just now starting to fully pursue. That is helping people. I am in the process of starting a food pantry that will cater to low income adults with special dietary needs, such as diabetics, dialysis patients, cancer patients, etc. This has been on my heart to do for several years, I've just never been in the position to do it. Some recent life changes have opened the door for me to follow through with this pursuit. I am in the process of seeking funding assitance, as well as a location for this pantry. When you are a writer, you tend to be more observant than most. Inspiration comes from places and people you wouldn't believe. I enjoy meeting and am interested in meeting people from different places who've had different experiences than myself. Ones who aren't ashamed of who they are or where they're from and aren't afraid to share and express themselves.
