About me:

The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.
--- Henry Miller

It is a dark, cool, quiet place. A basement in your soul. And that place can sometimes be dangerous to the human mind. I can open the door and enter that darkness, but I have to be very careful. I can find my story there. Then I bring that thing to the surface, into the real world.
--- Haruki Murakami

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
--- Benjamin Franklin

"In my dream, I see these fantastic paintings that were done by somebody else. And I wish that I had painted them. And I wake up, and after a while the impression wears off. I say, wait a minute, those are my paintings. I dreamt them; they're mine. Then I can't remember what they were."
--- David Lynch

I am not an adventurer by choice but by fate.
--- Vincent van Gogh

I should have been, I don’t know, a con-man, a robber or a prostitute. But it was vanity that made me choose painting, vanity and chance.
--- Francis Bacon

For me, painting is a way to forget life. It is a cry in the night, a strangled laugh.
--- Georges Rouault

An intellectual is a man who says a simple thing in a difficult way; an artist is a man who says a difficult thing in a simple way.
--- Charles Bukowski

For those needing some closure to this mystery. I received word that Thomas had a rare disease called Sarcoidosis, this disease is a multi-organ disease, Thomas was found to have it in his heart, lungs, spleen, and liver. It is believed that Thomas had a Disturbed heart rhythm (arrhythmia) causing his sudden death. Please visit http://www.stopsarcoidosis.org to learn more and make a donation to the research of this complex disease for which the cause and cure are unknown.
We miss you Thomas!
