The One Album Wonders were formed in January 2002 by Adam Scanlon, Rupert Handley and Alan Bryant, recording the groundbreaking "Experiments for the 22nd Century" album. A hectic tour around a music department proved too much for Bryant who had to move to Enfield to calm down. He was replaced in September 2002 by Gareth Cox and Patrick Martin who contributed to the inevitable follow up album "We Lied" in shifts that very month. The album surely goes down in history as one of the best second albums of all time, seeing as they are normally shit. Scanlon, Handley and Martin united to celebrate the "My First Birthday" EP in January 2003, the band utilising digital sound for the first time, instead of their traditional cassette player techniques. Martin left the band during the sessions for the heavier "Once Again" set in March 2003, dominated by Handley's guitar work through a really shit amp, Scanlon's mediocre drumming and Cox's inspired percussion. One final release, the "Orfal Acoustic Wecord" EP was an interesting spin on the usual retrospective and that was that, apart from an 18-track best of compilation which was sent to the NME in August 2003 and totally ignored. In October 2007 Scanlon and Handley reformed the band, who can tell what will happen next?
