ONE-DAY-IN.COM is intended to be the world's diary. It will be possible to show and to explore exactly, what happened when and where. Any person worldwide will be able to make a contribution in the form of an article or a comment to someone else's article. An author's contributions might be related to his own life or the history of a certain time or place. Upcoming events can also be added and searched for. An article or a comment can only be deleted by its author or by an administrator.

ONE-DAY-IN.COM is suited for private persons as well as newsagencies, newspapers, organisations or companies that want to place commercials related to a special place or date (launching a new product, announcing a roadshow in a certain place,…). ONE-DAY-IN.COM offers nearly endless possibilities.

When writing a new article (regular or advanced), the author defines the language, category, date or period and the place, where something happened. Another user can now search exactly by the criteria he is interested in.

ONE-DAY-IN.COM is based on GoogleMaps. By flying around the world and zooming to a certain continent, country, region or city, a user can select the place he wants to learn more about. It is also possible to select a certain year, a month, or a day on an unlimited time scale, ranging from dates B.C. (Before Christ) to dates in the future. Furthermore, all articles are categorized and accordingly marked.

Points of interest are visualized by pins on the GoogleMap. Moving the cursor over a pin opens a short preview window, a click on the pin opens the article in a new window.
