| General | I love to write. I enjoy well written stories of all kinds. I think History is the most important thing a person can learn. It tells us who we've been and foreshadows who we will become. And ya gotta love market-driven Pop-Culture because it let's us know who we are. | | Music | Practically everything! If it moves my heart or my body. Truth be told, I am secretly a bit of a Karaoke Loser. You can tell from the K.L. printed on my forehead. However, I save the other symbol for bigger losers than me...You know the sign , bringing your own CDs. | | Movies | I enjoy a good maudlin flick. Dead Poet's Society, The Fisher King, Gollipolli, Birdy, The Story of Us, The Family Man, Reservior Dogs, The Patriot, Brave Heart. Jon Cusack movies are silly and sappy and I LOVE them. High Fidelity has given me a whole knew respect for Peter Frampton. | | Television | Gray's Antatomy. Because the music is so amazing and well, every smart girl wants her McDreamy.
I also love all the Law and Orders except the Trial By Jury thing. I watch a lot of Free Speech TV because, while I think that by and large they are a bunch of lefty wack-jobs...I adore the entire concept. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! But over all I mostly listen to a lot of NPR. | | Books | Since he was my very first Friend, I HAVE to say "Keeping Score: a Short Heroic Journey" by DR Leo is by far the best book ever written. Short of, perhaps, the Bible..but hey! That was written by God and several of his closest buds...it SHOULD be good! Still, I'll take 80 tightly written pages over a road map to my personal salvation any day. Oh yeah!! and "Running After Antelope" a collection of stories by NPR's Scott Carrier, before DR, he was my Patron Saint of Authors (still is, but ssssssshhhhhhh!) | | Heroes | I have quite a thing for Spiderman and I'm not sure why. It might be that his fingers are wonderfully agile and sticky, or it could simply be that the mask never has a mouth cut in it. It's anyone's guess. |

About me:
Well, for starters, I am a professional stand-up comedian out of Scottsdale Arizona. At 39 years old, I decided to take a Comedy Class at the local community college. [Why? Homeschooling FIVE kids! Can you say "Get the Hell outta the house?" Ahem...] and I've been Funny For Money ever since. I love my work, I love my kids, I absolutely HATE dating, but I keep doing it over and over...trying to find the perfect man to spend the rest of my life with.I tried explaining that to my HUSBAND....he does not understand.
On a more personal note:
I am terrific! No really, just ask me. I try to live right, you know, be decent in a kind of yoga practicing, joke telling, diamonds work like crystals (don't they?) sort of way. I mean, I don't have everything together, but then, where would I keep it? Have you any idea how hard it is to talk like a refrigerator magnet? Sometimes, however, I say things that are so profound as to warrant copy on the throw pillows of any upstanding grandmother's platic-covered couch.....but I digress. Anyway, I don't smoke, I use recycled paper, and aspire to drive bio-diesle..while still deeply dedicated to drinking heavily and consuming as much red meat as humanly possible. Why? because, I think life is about BALANCE.
So, I do a few shows a week, write a newspaper column from time to time, and have started my re-education all the way back at the first grade. You know, it's much more interesting than I remember it.
