I love to read. I read 2-4 books per month. Once again, I don't like love stories, but will read anything else. I prefer fiction, but will read the occasional non-fiction.
I love historic fiction by Philippa Gregory. I just finished The Other Boleyn Girl and recently saw the movie. Although it was somewhat disappointing as far as historical aspects go, otherwise it was very enjoyable and the costumes were exquisite!

STEVE JOBS!!!
Thanks, Steve, for bringing us the Mac!!! You have made my job as a designer that much more pleasurable.
Madonna—I think she's the BEST! Her story always inspires me. I am thrilled of her recent induction into the Music Hall of Fame. She deserves it!!!

About me:
I have been studying art for over 10 years now, and I still continue to learn everyday about my art and my work. Although my focused concentration/medium is graphic design, I have always had a passion for acrylic painting. Sometimes I enjoy adding a little aqua oils to my paintings, but overall I primarily prefer painting with acrylics. It's something that I do for myself, but might possibly sell some of my paintings online and through my local Fort Collins/Denver community. You can see from my work, (http://onegirlcreative.com/paintings.htm) that I enjoy using bright colors straight from the tube, I feel by accomplishing this, it gives my painting a sense of depth and vivacity.
I graduated with my BFA from Colorado State University in graphic design. I also studied design in NYC at Parsons School of Design, before transferring to CSU in 1990. It was there that I was able to continue my passion for the outdoors—snow skiing, running and tennis.
I have been doing freelance graphic design for over 5 years since starting my business, One Girl Creative. In addition to architecture and art history, graphic design has always been one of my passions in life. It was at a young age that I knew this would be the direction I would take.
I enjoy designing for everyday uses—whether it's for a small business logo, or corporate identity—I love the design process and how it encompasses our everyday lives. I believe that the use and study of typography is pertinent to any successful design project. Typography is all around us—billboards, advertising, newspapers, books, labels—it's everywhere! Don't take the beauty of typography for granted. It's a discipline worth acknowledging.
Thanks for your interest in my bio.
Who I'd like to meet: The artists/architects/designers whom I would have loved to have met before they passed, are:
Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Charles & Ray Eames, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Paul Rand.
Their work inspires my everyday aesthetic. Without their innovative designs, we wouldn't have the historical artistic content in our homes, our lives, our shelves—anywhere. They were the best in their fields, and for that, I have nothing but admiration for them.
I would LOVE to meet and shake hands with Steve Jobs.
If it weren't for his tenacious personality with getting the Mac to fruition, that would mean that us designers would be stuck working on PC's. That would be horrible!
I could go on with the clichés of wanting to meet actors because of their gorgeous physiques (i.e. Daniel Craig, Eric Bana, Matt Damon, etc.), but that would be just that—boring clichés.
Emma is always welcome here. Jayden told me in the car that Emma was her best bestess friend in the whole wide world. How cute huh? I am glad Jayden has chosen a sweetheart to be her best friend. See ya tomorrow. Julie

"If we want world peace, we must truly let go of our attachments and live like nomads. Thats where I no mad at you, you no mad at me. That way, there'll surely be no madness on the planet. And peace begins with each of us. A little peace here, a little peace there. Pretty soon all the peaces will fit together and make one big peace everywhere."
I welcome peace. The question is not "Can peace be possible in this world?" but instead, "Is it not impossible that peace be absent here?" ACIM
