One Glove - a staggeringly talented new band from Sydney who are bucking the trend of musical tradition with their self-styled, Epictronica. Part rock, part dance, part pop, part electronica but above all their music is loud, wide and off the hook!
Drawing on influences from all corners of modern music, One Glove songs have the progressive feel reminiscent of the Chemical Brothers, the retro edge of Daft Punk, Grafton Primary & The Presets, the sheer epic power of M83, and the vocal adventure of Sigur Ros. Vocalist Mooky defies gravity with his soaring falsetto while producer Richmo tears up the stage on vocals and synths and with the addition of beat veteran Warren Jackson on the drums, One Glove live is something to behold.
Still unsigned, the boys demo tracks 'Radiator' and 'Tell Me Something I Don't Know' saw them win Triple J Unearthed and the 'In The Mix' SAE Competitions respectively. They've also landed a bookings contract with Jam Music and scored slots at Sydney's Massive dance music festivals, Parklife '08 & Good Vibes '09. With heads down in the studio, watch this space for the first single.
