“…I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,' declares the LORD Almighty” (Haggai 2:23). Today's Word from Joel and Victoria We don’t often hear about signet rings anymore; but in Bible times, they were very significant. The signet ring was used to identify the message or messenger and the authority they had. In other words, you knew something was from the king because it was marked by His signet ring. It was representative of power and authority. This verse is saying that you are the mark of authority of Almighty God. You have been chosen and set apart to be identified with Him. When you have someone’s power and authority, you have access to everything they have. It’s like having power of attorney; you have the authority to act on behalf of that individual. As a believer in Jesus, marked with His seal, think of all you have access to today. Think about the authority you have. Everything He has is available to you—healing, provision, strength, peace, joy. You have been given authority to “sign His name” in order to receive His blessings. You are God’s seal, and you are marked to live the abundant life He has in store for you! A Prayer for Today Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me and calling me Your own. Help me to fully understand the authority You’ve given by Your Son Jesus. I receive all You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

This Day

.....This day, I Thankfully accept all of the good things that are coming my way. This day is full of excitement, love, energy, health, and prosperity. This day, people are calling on me to be of service to them and I respond by giving my very best. This day. I think and practice health in my life, refusing to accept anything less than perfect health. This day, I accept the abundance and prosperity that is mine and willingly share it with others. this day, I spend in total enjoyment of what I do. This day, I fill with loving thoughts and actions toward other people and myself. This day, I spend in grateful appreciation of all that is mine. This day, this hour, this minute, this moment is all that I have and I choose to use it in celebration.

YESTERDAY IS BUT A DREAM, AND TOMORROW IS ONLY A VISION, BUT TODAY, WELL LIVED MAKES EVERY YESTERDAY A DREAM OF HAPPINESS, AND EVERY TOMORROW A VISION OF HOPE. LOOK WELL, THEREFORE, TO THIS DAY. .....

Do It Anyway!

People are illogical, and unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives Do good anyway. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight Build anyway. People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway. Give the world your best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.

TEN THINGS GOD WON'T ASK ON THAT DAY

1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove, he'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation. 2. God wont ask the square footage of your house, he'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home. 3 God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, he'll ask how many people you've helped clothe. 4. God won't ask what your highest salary was, he'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it. 5. God won't ask what your job title was, he'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability. 6. God won't ask how many friends you had, he'll ask how many people to whom you were a good friend. 7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, he'll ask how you treated your neighbors. 8. God won't ask about the color of your skin, he'll ask about the content of your character. 9. God won't ask why it took so long to seek salvation, he'll lovingly take you to your mansion in Heaven and not to the gates of hell. 10. God won't ask you how many people you've shared his good news with, he'll already know!

Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago one day I saw a sign that read Heavens Grocery Store as I got a little closer, the door came open wide and when I came to myself, I was standing inside.

I saw a host of Angels, they were standing every where one handed me a basket and said,"My child, shop with care" everything a Christian needed was in the grocery store.

First, I got some patience, Love was in the same row further down was understanding, you need that everywhere you go.

I got a bag or two of wisdom, a bag or two of Faith I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, it was all over the place. I shopped to get some Strength and Courage, to help me run this race, by then my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some Grace.

I didn't forget Salvaltion for Salvation that was Free So, I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. then I started up to the counter to pay my grocery bill for I thought I had everything to do my Masters Will.

As I went up the aisle, I saw Prayer and I just had to put that in, for I knew when I stepped outside, I'd run right into sin. Peace and Joy where plentiful, they were on the last shelf. Song and Praise where hanging near, so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the Angel,"How much do I owe?" He just smiled and said,"Just take them every where you go" again, I smiled at him and said, "Really, how much do I owe?"

He smiled again and said, "My child Jesus paid your bill a long time ago.

TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND

I dedicate this section to Billy Preston. Billy was a musician's musician. He entered the game as a professional at the age of six appearing on Nat King cole's TV show. As a teen he toured with Ray Charles & later with Little Richard, as well as The Stones. Billy was known as the fifth Beatle and is the only artist to record and write with the Beatles. The last time the Beatles performed as a group.(The legendary roof top session) Billy played keys. He also played on let it be and the white albums. He and Sly Stone were great friends. Sly produced one of Billy's early albums. One of my fondest childhood memories was watching Billy & Sly rock the stage. He scroed #1 hits with will it go round in circles, nothin from nothin, outa space for which he won Grammys, You are so beautiful and with you I'm born again. Billy performed and recored with every major talent since the Fifties up until his death in 2006. the list ranges from Mahellia Jackson to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He wrote and recorded for countless films and TV shows. Yes Billy was a musical Giant, and he was also my Uncle. I hope you take some time to enjoy some of the clips posted below.
