...... "Mad Max is a local DJ/producer with deft remixing skills and deep knowledge of fail-safe beats." -DONTE PARKS, The Stranger...................................................................................... wuzup new homie! check some mixtapes: .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ....90SMIXPART2.. by ..maxwallace99...... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ....A90'SMIX.. by ..maxwallace99...... ...... .. .. DJING WITH THE POSING AS PEOPLE CREW; WE'RE OPENING FOR LYRICS BORN!! .. ...... .. Max Wallace lives in Seattle, WA. and makes music under the name "Mad Max". He was born the same day as Shamu The Killer Whale, who is known well for jumping through hoops and eating fish at Sea World. Mad Max has opened for dj Q-bert, Grand mixer DXT, Grand Wizard Theodore, DJ Jazzy Jeff. Mad Max takes sampling thrift-store records to yet another rung. Each song stands as a piece and testament to record-crate gem sifting; rebuilding dream pieces into Lego castles that could inhabit monkeys wearing pirate eye-patches and, perhaps, some robots. Truly, the separate golden entities of record embers form together like Voltron. This synergistic effect produces rare material that otherwise would never be birthed forth unto the world with conventional styles of music making. At the same time, Instant Ventriloquism retains the value of Hip-Hop standards, still celebrating the drum-break as a necessary building block. Each song is like a fortune cookie, rife with riddle. Or, perhaps, a comic strip, with punch lines, yet with a story line that leaves it up to the listener for interpretation. This off-the-wall format of hip-hop incorporates humor along with serious undertones that do not simply tickle the listener's fancy, but adds another missing piece to the musical fabric of Hip-Hop. Mad Max has no formal music training, except for 5th grade trombone. While working for Sub Pop Records he was able to spend time working under the wings of Design Juggernaut Jeff Kleinsmith, where his pastiche approach to musical assemblage was first acquired as a Graphic Designer. In his free time, Mad Max collages from found 2 dimensional visual objects. All and all, Mad Max has crafted a strong listening piece that is a perfect soundtrack for star-gazing on davenports, sipping inexpensive american lager and mingling with your friends.

crud, there are a lot out of things in the world, and there is alot to draw inspiriation from. i like a lot of different blends of music, turntable record players along with the records. bongo drums and assorted make-shift percussion instruments, the stand-up bass, guitar distortion, drum breaks, record crackle hiss and skip. anything gold and shiny. dungeons and dragons, paint splatters, fire exits, car chases, cut up ancient magazines, broken glass, velcro, whiskey, kung-fu, artificial fangs, comic books, velvet paintings, old testament sacrafices, old gold cigarettes, midgets, switch-blade combs, stars (along with surrounding sky,) police cars and also civilian cars, boobies, neon-signs pre-1970, donkeys, pre 1985 national geographic magazines, refridgerators with only beer, foreign currency, basements, laughter, tattoos, gold, dirty jeans, womens' eyebrows, night time, children's science books, ghetto blasters, americans, chubby 'n' tubby (before closure), nuns, nun-chucks, chimpanzees in human garb, stand-up arcade video games, wood paneling, knives, some puppets, artwork by schizophrenic and autistic people, wind, animals in their natural habitat, pet tricks, some eye-glasses, dunkin' donut styro-foam coffee cups, along with their bright yellow plastic seats. plants that grow through concrete, mexican day of the dead artwork, westernco donut shops, science fiction, all graffiti, pawn shops, my job, all explosions, brief cases, buildings built before 1950, and some built after 1950, the circus, heating ventilating and air conditioning, incense, comfy shoes, mini-marts, religious art, liquor stores, paperbacks with the yellow edged papers, accordians, dog sweaters, pay 'n' pack, skulls, diplomas, brass knuckles, fax machines, uzis, maps, sheds, shacks and shanties. jehovas witness pamphlets, monkey bars, mathematics, folks that can make a house out of found materials. all signs on aurora avenue. i like to look at bugs, but i don't really like 'em. i would rather squash 'em. eclecticity, electricity. rain. oh, and fire.
