BIO:
Dan Harlos was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, then in 1990 relocated to Visalia, CA. Learned to play bass at 17, then 6 months later was recruited into a punk band called the Disolutes. The band ended up changing the name to State Issued. After a short time the drummer left for music school and the guitarist/singer(Jason Schultz/Jackpot Slim) and I formed a new band called the ASTRO POPS. The Astro pops were a pop punk band that recorded a demo tape and played several shows for 4 years all over California, also a cable T.V. appearence and local radio play. Then in 1997 the band decided to relocate to Seattle, WA. Two months later we disbanded for personal reasons. I remained in Seattle, then started a little indie acoustic project called KICKS AND PUNCHES. We made a 4 song demo and played one show before moving on to new projects. Then I was recruited into a hardrock grunge band called LIFE WITHOUT SUN in 1998. L.W.S. played all over western Washington and Oregon for the next 4 years. The band produced one 4 song demo cd, did a Grange hall tour and radio play. After going through 4 drummers in the 4 years due to the bad blood with the singer/guitarist I decided to call it quits. Then Jason Schultz moved back to Seattle and we soon started a band called SUPERBRAVO for a very brief period. The pop rock band produced a 5 song demo cd then shortly after Jason moved back to Visalia, CA. Soon after that, Brian McCowan(Drummer for L.W.S. and SUPERBRAVO) and I formed the band called CAUTION BLOCK in 2002. This progressive math rock band started out as a 2 piece using a loop pedal for guitar. We produced one 4 song demo as a 2 piece, then we recruited a new guitarist(Jason MacWain) in 2003 and recorded a full length album in 2006. C.B. played some shows in Seattle and Portland before breaking up in November of 2006. I now relocate back to Visalia, CA in February 2007 to be closer to my kids.
ONE MAN STORY is a solo project from Dan Harlos. Dan does all the vocals,writes,composes and performs all the instruments. This project started in 2001 for fun and slowly became more serious. The debut album in 2001 was called "Day One of My New Strange Life". Inspired by a difficult divorce which promted the title. Since that album,ONE MAN STORY was put on hold for a few years. Most of Dan's time was spent working with CAUTION BLOCK. Now in 2006, O.M.S. is back with better recordings and musicianship. This album has been recorded,mixed and produced at Blaze Studios in Seattle, Wa by Arrol Essex.
The album will be called "Pressure From the World That Holds Me Down", it will be out October, 2006. We live in times of greed,hate,anger,untrust and people dying for no reason because of religion. To be honest, IT MUST STOPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A male patient is lying in a hospital bed, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose, still heavily sedated from a difficult four-hour surgical procedure. A young student nurse shows up, to give him a partial sponge bath. 'Nurse,' he mumbles from behind the mask, 'Are my testicles black?' Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, 'I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body, legs and feet. He struggles to be heard through the mask and asks again, 'Nurse, are my testicles black?'Concerned that he may elevate his vital signs by worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and sheepishly pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his testicles in the other, lifting and moving them around. Then, she takes a close look and says, 'There's nothing wrong with them, Sir. They are not black. The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly, 'Thank you very much, Nurse. That was wonderful. But please listen very, very carefully...... 'A r e - m y - t e s t - r e s u l t s - b a c k ?'
