I started my career at the age of 16 assisting at P.S. Recording Studios, the home of many of Chicago’s great recording artist such as Gavin Christopher,Earth Wind and Fire, Ramsey Lewis, Chi-lites, Tyrone Davis and many others. I formed Music Chicago, Inc and produced and composed national advertising campaigns for Verizon, Kentucy Fried Chicken, Wal Mart, Coca Cola, Sprite, Mc Donalds, Burger
King Ford, Wal-Mart and many other fortune 500 companies. My commercials for Coca Cola are now in the Smithsonian Institute.
I partnered with Reid Hyams and Chicago Trax Recording Studios "home of the house music scene". In 1988 Gavin Christopher came to me at our studio with this very talented guy he met singing in the subway on Belmont and Clark in Chicago. After hearing him sing and play on his tiny beat up Casio piano he used while playing and singing Stevie Wonder songs in the subway for money I knew this guy had something and began writing with him and teaching him how to program his songs and learn his way around the studio. Now he's known as R. Kelly and he bought Chicago Trax which became 'The Chocolate Factory" and the rest is history. " GUESS I SHOULD HAVE SIGNED HIM! LOL
I moved to Los Angeles and began writing tracks for Death Row Records until 1996. I've composed and produced music for the Oprah Winfrey Show and Harpo Productions. Just completed song's on an old friend Flavor Flav’s solo album entitled "Flavor Flav/Hollywood". I have completed working on songs with Jane Zhang who is now the #1 Female Artist in China with the #1 Album in China which include the songs I produced on her. The album is entitled "The One"!
