About me: "One More Girl On A Stage" (taken from a line in a Patty Griffin Song), is a new series at The Southgate House in Newport, KY. It is the latest series by The Rivertown Music Club. Our mission is to celebrate and support women. The series will feature both local and national female artists and a donation will be made from every show to a charity/organization that supports women.

Check out FacesForACure.Com and consider adding to the digital mosaic that I am working diligently to fill up completely. The wall stands for strength, motivation and inspiration to aid the healing of the millions of cancer fighters out there.
When the wall is full, half of the proceeds will go straight to Cancer Research to help aid the discovery of the cure. At that point, another wall will be opened up so we can continue to create a visual of our strong community.
Breast Cancer Hospitalization Bill - There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It's about eliminating the 'drive-through mastectomy' where women are forced to go home just a few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached. Lifetime Television has put this bill on their web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on. PLEASE!!
