Lisa "cut her teeth" in the early years of punk, dividing her time between Los Angeles and Minneapolis. Inspired by friends in bands such as X, Screaming Sirens, Mentors, The Gun Club, Germs, Husker Du, The Replacements, and Babes in Toyland, she never left the punk spirit behind, even at her "advanced age"... Lisa I. RoadBot is now finally on the stage, instead of in front of it or behind it....
OneNeoEon is not a laptop, "screen gazer" band-Lisa I. RoadBot always plays one instrument or another live.......
A sort of live, visual, evenings background music- a flesh and bone instrumental jukebox......like an organic Muzak system loaded with electropunk/industrial mayhem.......
OneNeoEon is an answer for the people that say "no, you can't do that" It is music from one person, a punk who always believed in DIY. Now, Lisa I. RoadBot has stumbled upon a group of musicians who use the digital, electronic empowerment machinery of today to create and publish their own music- THEMSELVES. I was going to go camping this weekend, but this is definitely NOT camping weather. So me and some friends are gonna go check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005.
Anyways, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a series of one time only performance art pieces. This one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
