Writing. Reading. Taking pictures. Food. Cooking. Cities, suburbs, and small towns. Transportation. The presence and absence of industry. Nice parts of town. Bad parts of town. What used to be. What's to come. And you might be surprised to learn this, but I am also interested in music.
Music
Ummmmm......people who can actually sing or play. I know that's asking a lot these days, but I have high standards.
Movies
I don't feel strongly about any of them at the moment.
Television
These days I'm most into "Friends," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Boston Legal." I used to be crazy about TV but now there's not as much on that I like.
Books
Read "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coelho. It may just change your life.

First of all, MySpace sucks. But a lot of people I keep in touch with still use it, so I still use it, too. Frankly, there's not much I can do with it anymore because not much works on MySpace anymore, but again....
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, where I still reside. Music is my one true love, but most creative arts speak to me in some way. I've always been active in a creative vein: music, writing, cooking, painting, photography, acting. The only one I've ever pursued professionally is writing, but I write primarily about music, so I'm being creative and supporting creative artists at the same time.
I have two blogs I'd like you to check out. I'm going to give you the links, and there's a chance that MySpace will block the links for no reason and you'll have to type in the URL's yourself. Because MySpace sucks. But anyway, I maintain a music blog called One Note Ahead (http://onenoteahead.blogspot.com), which is currently the primary outlet for my music journalism, criticism, and miscellany because I'm "in between homes" as a writer if you know what I mean. I actually make a greater priority of my work as a music publicist, and S.J. Dibai's PR Watch (http://dibaipr.blogspot.com) provides a sampling of that for those who have requested it.
I am available to write about subjects other than music, so if you think I can be of service to you, let's talk.
As a hobby, I'm in the midst of an amateur photography project in which I seek to capture Philadelphia as I see it. But posting those photos on MySpace did me little good, so I stopped. An "S.J. Dibai's Philadelphia" website should be up before the summer is out. However, my "2009 Rocks!" concert photo diary is dead; 2009 is half over now and I can say with certainty that it does NOT rock. I've seen a number of awesome shows this year, but the year itself has not been so great.
And that is all for now.
Who I'd like to meet: I don't have anyone particular in mind.
A "Fro-mance?" I LOVE it! Alas, the never-ending question about what to do with our hair!
Aww, you remembered where you met me! .. It was at Laura's show in Manayunk last summer. Yes, I'd love to come out to Laura's CD release party. When is it?
That's a shame. I didn't take any pics last night even though I had my camera.
Actually I found out I get to wear jeans on Fridays! Since I only work there Tuesday, Fridays and every other Saturday (jeans then, too!) it won't be too bad. I can handle business dress one day a week :)
I like you new transportation pix. You should jump on the R5 and head up my way and I'll take you to some interesting old train spots. When the weather gets warmer of course because I hate to be outside in the cold. BBRRRR!

Ooooh! There's a cosmic "happening" going on here! Haha! [And you actually are right on the mark about not knowing what I did. I did nothing. So you were correct. There was simply nothing to know. :)]
