It’s been only a year since the 1st and 6 months since the 2nd album
The 12-track 3rd album “Emotion Effect” will be out on November 12th!!
Since their debut, ONE OK ROCK have kept doing gigs and certainly getting much hotter among young audience with their cutting-edge sound and heart-striking words. On September 12th, they have just successfully done their one-man live at SHIBUYA-AX with totally packed audience.
They announced that their 3rd album “Emotion Effect” would be out on November 12th on stage then.
The album includes one of their long-awaited tune “Nothing” which has been often played at their gigs and is previously unreleased, and the initial press comes with live DVD of the SHIBUYA-AX’ extracts. They will strongly attract both their fans and people who just started listening to their music.
The feature track from the album “Partner in my love and cupido in my heart” was initially rereleased just for mobile ring tone and the official MySpace on which you can hear that tune exclusively was open on September 13th .
Following the release of the album, they will start a tour from January 2009. Tickets are available on their official website.
They still keep on running! We can’t take our eyes off of them!!

.. In the summer of 2005, Toru (Vocal & Guitars) formed a band with his two high school classmates, Alex (Guitars) and Ryota (Bass). Around that time, they began learning each instrument with certain seriousness. After Taka (Vocal) joined the band, they performed lives mainly in Tokyo area repeatedly.
In 2006, they released two mini albums from an indies label which had extraordinary sales mainly in particular record shops such as Tower Records and HMV. They continued to perform vigorous lives around Kanto area including their participation in “Festival”.
Their first one-man live at “one of the Tokyo’s legendary club” Shinjyuku LOFT was also a braking success with 500 audiences!
Tomoya (Drums) has officially joined the band in March of 2007, and they made a long-awaited mainstream debut on April 25 with the song “I keep it inside” which was the first original song made by 5 members. It was played intensively in national radio stations and communication satellite stations!
Without stopping, they released several singles and began a nation tour, including their remarkable participation in MONSTER bash festival 2007 in Matuyama, Kagawa prefecture.
On November 21 2007, they released the first full album “Luxe Sick”.
They launched the Tour of 3 major cities in Japan, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, of which the tickets were all sold out as quick as a flash!
