About me: One Question For God is a new book being written by comedian/writer Tommy Blaze. The premise of the book is simple and straightforward;
"If you could ask God one question, what would you ask?"
To date, Tommy has received hundreds of questions representing people from all over the world and from all walks of life. The list of contributors includes a housewife in Sarasota, an insurance salesman , a rock and roll legend, a Girl Scout troop in Des Moines, a convict on death row, a world leader, a TV talk show host and a presidential candidate.
One Question For God is often whimsical, poignant , hopeful and at times heartbreaking. The questions are as diverse and divergent as our beliefs and interpretations of God. At the same time, these questions unify us for they underline and illustrate the common needs, fears and wishes of all mankind. Muslim, atheist, Christian and Jew all have One Question For God.1>

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.”
-- Buddah
It’s been a little while, but as we approach the holiday season I wanted to drop in and say hello. Be well. -- Thom

"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have." -- Frederick Keonig
“If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.” -- Nadine Stair
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAY ALL YOUR WISHES AND DREAMS COME TRUE
HAPPY NEW YEAR
HAPPY NEW YEAR MEANS MORE THAN JUST A BRAND NEW DAY. IT’S A WHOLE NEW YEAR; A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION AND A TIME FOR LOTS OF CHEAR!
GOOD FORTUNE’S TO BE HAD TONIGHT NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE; JUST LOOK UP TO THE MOONLIT SKY AND FIND YOURSELF A STAR
NOW CLOSE YOUR EYES AND MAKE A WISH AND I WILL MAKE ONE TOO: BECAUSE THIS IS A SPECIAL NIGHT, THEY MIGHT COME TRUE!
My Happy New Year wish for you is for your best year yet, a year where life is peaceful, and what you want, you get. Another fresh New Year is here, another year to banish worry, doubt, and fear, to love and laugh and give. Let the New Year live in your heart, it is just beginning to start. Keep family and friends in your thoughts every day, and the spirit of the New Year will not go away. At the sound of the tolling midnight bell a brand new year will begin. Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring happy bells across from here to there. Everywhere, singing songs because we all should share. I wish for you happiness galore with all those that care, and when it’s done, I wish you a Happy New Year, and many more to adore.
However you choose to pass this Christmas, remember the reason why Jesus came. Amidst the ranting and the raging [Psalm 2], Christ still “...heals the brokenhearted, proclaims liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, and sets at liberty those who are oppressed” [Luke 4:18]. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” [Luke 2:14]
How wonderful to discover that you are a "mutual friend" of my daughter and I!!! I hope she emailed you her questions....
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family Tommy.... This has been such an amazing year that I can't even imagine what's in store for all of us in 2009.... ~B.
Just wanted to swing by and say hello! Have an awesome day!
Have a great coming week and a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for, even when we don't realize it or take the small things for granite. Be thankful for everything you have and who you are, you never know when it is going to change.
"In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil. And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November."
Let honesty and industry be thy constant companions, and spend one penny less than thy clear gains; then shall thy pocket begin to thrive; creditors will not insult, nor want oppress, nor hungerness bite, nor nakedness freeze thee. -- Benjamin Franklin
