Ted Nilsson’s career has been ever changing, from the age of 15 to present day, 29. Be it his production abilities, record label signings, DJ residencies or places of residence, the one thing that never varies is undoubtedly his unwavering dedication and hard graft to dance music.
Luckily for him, the results speak volumes.
Swedish born and bred, Ted left Scandinavia for Spain in 2000 at the age of 20 and after 4 years of continuous residencies at various clubs such as Space, Pacha & London Underground with Brandon Block, Ted enrolled at London’s prestigious SAE in London. At this time Ted had already produced a fair chunk of worthy material, but he felt strongly that armed with a wealth of vital production knowledge, it would take him to greater and better things.
By 2005 Ted was based in Rugby, Midlands UK, where his studio is still based today – and in early 2007 was signed up to Lowered Recordings where his ‘Pips’ release was showcased on the Miami Sampler for the record label. Since then Ted have had tracks and remixes singed to labels such as Starlight Music, Chris Montana & Thomas Gold's S2G Productions, Chriss Ortega’s GrooveBox, Miss Moneypenny's Music, What Happens, LoudBit, Oryx, GrooveDigital, Lowered Recordings plus more.
In 2008 Ted was eagerly signed up to Miss Moneypenny’s Music with tracks like 'Realize' feat. Gabriella Khan, ‘Ice’ with fellow friend Cjay 'Crazy Love' feat. Andrea Britton.
Ted fast became one of the World Touring Resident DJ's which then has seen him travel to Beijing and Ibiza’s El Divino’s for a prestigious tours, as well as playing at the world famous Gatecrasher on NYE for Miss Moneypennys.
Wasn't long before Ted was offered the role as in-house remixer for Miss Moneypenny’s music and after carving out a well recognised style and production sound doing various remixes such as The Beat Agents' Overdrive' feat. Abigail Bailey & Noferini’s “Till You Come Back” feat. Peyton. Ted has also remixed the likes of Beyonce, Steve Angello, La Roux, Lifelike, Migrants, Play Paul, Will Bailey, Jon Fitz, Bastards Of Funk, Ran Shani, Nick Corline, Jules Spinner to name a few.
It was a double whammy for Ted on the airwaves in 2008, with Eddie Halliwell giving ‘Fighting Fires’ multiple airplays on his Radio 1 weekly show.
Not long after that, Ted won the Pete Tong Bedroom Bedlam Fasttrax Show in November with his ‘STHLM VIBE’ which was then signed onto Tim Andresen’s label, ‘What Happens’.
Galaxy FM and Hed Kandi also had Ted's productions gracing their airwave's with his master bootleg of Loveland's 'Let The Music Lift You Up'. DJ’s that have supported Ted’s productions include, Granite & Phunk, Carl Kennedy, Jorgensen, Nick Correlli (MYNC Project), Filthy Rich, Sonny Wharton, Jay C, Belocca, , Huggy, Reza plus many more. The WMC Miami 2008 track ‘Aztec’ spent 4 weeks on the DMC Buzz Chart.
Ted’s charismatic DJ style is fastly gaining him more recognition than ever with international gigs in Marbella, Beijing, Ibiza, Copenhagen, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Germany, Canary Islands, Estonia.
