The Vision:
Our generation is starving for Jesus. How will they come to know His love? People who live it. It has always been God's design for Christians to be united with an attitude of loving and serving those around them--in and out of the church. One Voice is an opportunity for us to drop our personal styles and agendas and come together with the purpose of encouraging one another to be living what truly matters--a life sold out for Jesus Christ. It is time for us to rally together with the purpose of worshiping God and praying for our city!!!
College, high school and middle school students from all over Corvallis are coming together for passionate corporate worship every Thursday night at 6:30 pm. One Voice is a time of worship, prayer, and studying the Bible as we cry out to the Lord for His fire to ignite our hearts and empower us to shake up our city for Jesus. Lord, equip us to be an active part of revival in Corvallis!!!
The Age Bracket:
All young people from middle school through college are welcome. If you are a middle school parent and are wondering if this is the right thing for your child, why not come along—you might just be amazed.
The Layout:
Loud and rocked-out worship before and after a study in the Word. The bulk of the worship will be a response time at the end, with an invitation for communion and an open prayer room.
Time and Location:
Thursday nights
6:30-8:30 PM in the Calvary Chapel Sanctuary (see images for directions)
**College Students: Stick around afterwards for fellowship and a meal provided by Real Life!
Directions:
From OSU--head East on Monroe Street. Turn left on 10th St and follow it towards northern Corvallis (as if you were heading to Crescent Valley High School). After you pass Walnut St, 10th will become Highland St. STAY on highland and follow it up the windy hill. At the top of the hill, turn left on Lester (there will be a green sign that says "Chip Ross Park" on your left). Follow Lester to the end of the street and you will see a sign for Calvary Chapel on the right. Turn right into the parking lot. 2125 NW Lester, Corvallis OR 97330. i know all the students go on break for the summer, but i think we should still do one voice all year long. i think it would do fine. it might actually be bigger than during the year......you never know...............one more week to go.
i agreee with my wonderful friend amanda. although i havent been to one voice in 2 weeks, its not my fault. i have been staying home taking care of my mom. i should be there this thursday......oh yea.
mmmmmmmhhhmmmmmmm..........that was good stuff. im all about the afterglows.
i really, really think we should do that every week, to some extent. whether it be in the main, or on a side room with just a guitar and cajon or something.
just a thought, but so many people thought it was so needed.
so yea, one voice was phenominal......yet again. so was the chili afterwards.
oh, and one more thing......love the new do ian, love it. i think its the first time i have seen your whole face at once. pretty crazy. looks good my brother, bodaciously stylistic.
i wish i was able to come tonight, but my mom had a tumor removed yesterday so im staying home to take care of her. maybe next week.....im crossing my fingers and hoping.
