One Win Choice is melodic punk/hardcore from Ocean County, NJ. Set firmly in the traditions of DIY, we have been playing together, booking shows, recording releases, and folding inserts for years. All the while with the same goal: to play genuine, honest music infused with energy and aggression to deliver a positive, powerful message.
Drawing influences from across the board, we strive ultimately to write songs that will help to spark personal interest and action in the social and political climate of our communities and the world we live in; a soundtrack to dance to as well as inspire.
Having hundreds of shows and a handful of tours under our belts we are set to release our debut full length record in October of 2007 as well as hit the road far more extensively than we have in the past. The new record, titled Never Suspend Disbelief, was recorded at Clay Creek Studios by Nick Rotundo (Paint It Black, None More Black, Boy Sets Fire), produced by Josh Latshaw (Boy Sets Fire) and is easily our most cohesive, urgent, and powerful effort to date.
“Fast, furious and really uplifting. The band's debut album holds 12 anthems of punky hardcore that are likely to knock you off your feet.” -MutinyZine.com
“The perfect ingredients for a good time.” –Lucky13Zine.com
"It's nice to hear some new-school hardcore that doesn't immediately turn me off. There's some great guitar work and good singing on "Never Suspend Disbelief," but the best part is the lyrics. Each song is a long, drawn out thought that is full of substance and heart and inspiration." -Maximum Rock n' Roll
“A fine, tight outfit with a melodic suss to rival the likes of Kid Dynamite or Husker Du against an instrumental assault that puts them on a par with Engage or early Dag Nasty.” –SubbaCultcha.com
“One Win Choice is able to stand out from the swarm of bands who wish they could work in that much intensity in such a short amount of time.” -FortheSound.com
“It's an album of an awakening with talks of revolution. It pulls you in, grabs your attention… an unrelenting source of energy, youthful optimism, intelligence and revolutionary ideals without becoming preachy.” –ThePunkSite.com
"Sounds like the stuff Fat Wreck Chords and Epitaph built their foundations on in the mid-'90s, with a bit more hardcore action in the rhythm section. The guitar leads are great...When singer Dan Kloza switches to gruffer shouting, it clicks (see Powder Keg)." - Alternative Press
“One Win Choice sums up over forty years of violence and hope. But the group's secret weapon is the way it so vividly captures the storms of anger and self-pride that swirl around inside our heads at times. Never Suspend Disbelief achieves that rare thing for any band- real consistency. The fact that they can express that feeling, even as they're rocking you like a Six Flags roller coaster ride, is what makes this band so singular and, possibly, indestructible.” –JerseyBeat.com
“Never Suspend Disbelief, a generously sped-up iteration of melodic punk/hardcore that aims for heads and hearts alike…it establishes itself as an album that wants to live in the macro, enlightened skatepunk world - think ANTI-FLAG, PROPAGANDHI, STRIKE ANYWHERE and BAD RELIGION, and the quality of the lyrics holds up too.” –PastePunk.com
"Yet another band I have never heard of, but that’s pretty much the norm these days. However, this is one of the lesser found new bands that are blooming marvelous." -Suspect Device Zine
“An album fueled by righteous anger in a world gone wrong with the intensity of hardcore and just enough melody to serve up their message. It is the grittiness, the commitment and the very human passion they convey that makes the music connect with anyone who's willing to listen. If there's any fire inside, Never Suspend Disbelief will fan those flames.” –Rock And Roll Nonsense Zine
“Done with more heart and more skill than most of the bands that are calling themselves hardcore these days.” -Ink19.com
"Songs ripe with intensity and emotion, which is really highlighted by the vocals of Dan...it seems truly passionate and there is an urgency there that seems to be lacking from his peers. Much love for One Win Choice." -SicZine.com
