About me:
ONE WORLD Entertainment is an Asheville-based company that brings the best in World, Reggae, DJ, Dance, and Experimental Music to the area. We have been hosting events in these mountains since 2003. Through our events, we seek to educate, empower, and uplift our community. Our mission in our work is "to facilitate cultural exchange through music."
ONE WORLD Entertainment has worked with world music artists such as Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, Mamadou Diabate, Youssoupha Sidibe, Midnite, Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble, Capleton, Vieux Farka Toure, and Extra Golden among others. ONE WORLD Entertainment has worked with DJ's and urban artists such as Mark Farina, King Britt, IsWhat?!, DJ Le Spam, Bonobo, Justin Paul, Orchard Lounge, and EL-P. Artists such as Prefuse 73, NOMO, The Egg, and Nation Beat are difficult to classify and represent the experimental music category. And, we have also worked with a wide variety of regional artists, including The Afromotive, DJ Bowie, Dubconscious, Mingle, Telepath, Ice Cream, The Midnight Ace, Medisin, The Secret B-Sides, Paper Tiger, Marley Carroll, The Malah, RBTS WIN and more.
ONE WORLD Entertainment began as an off-shoot of One Vibe Reggae and worked closely with One Vibe Reggae and Innernational Music (Roots Artist Services). We have collaborated with a variety of area promoters including Harvest Records, Mindelixir (Charlotte, NC), Harmonic Productions (Atlanta, GA) and MCP Presents. Currently, we are collaborating regularly on projects with the Asheville-based Better Ventures.
ONE WORLD Entertainment, One Vibe Reggae, and Innernational Music (Roots Artist Services) was the promotional collaborative behind the ONE WORLD InnerNational Music Celebration 2006 & 2007.
