Dru (26), who is currently living in Berlin is a versatile musician for sure. Not strictly focussing on one style, he started off with UK trance records eight years ago before arriving at a broader, open minded electronic style combining house, progressive and electro elements in his sets and productions.
Starting with first records and equipment in 2000, he quickly made his way with small local gigs. Teaming up with Dezz and TE (soundwerk recordings) soon after, the three did several gigs and projects throughout Germany. Some projects he worked on worth mentioning are for sure Heaven&Eden and the Vachnovsky Brothers. On top of that, Dru spinned on several occasions abroad, as he lived in Spain for some months.
In 2004 Dru founded “fallenangel recordings” which released nine fine records on limited vinyl during a period of two years. Beyond that, fallenangel is best known for the lost:summer sessions hosted in near Koblenz featuring a superb lineup of friends and fellows such as E-Drum legend Jan H., Schreze and Guido H.
By moving to Berlin in 2007 and establishing the German Groove Union - a network of friendly DJs - we can stay excited about what's coming up next. For now Dru is playing along with the soundwerk guys on the weekly radio show "soundwerk airwaves", broadcasted in Germany on CT das Radio. In his spare time he is doing bootleg and mashup creations of which some got aired by Judge Jules on BBC Radio 1 several times lately. Another mashup went straight into the Top 10 of "Most Popular Tracks" on The Hype Machine.
