I've grown up with and loved these musical genres: Ambient, Folk, World, New Age (and love hip hop, but that's not apparent in the music... obviously).

about me
"SURPASSING SPECTRUM"
she looked east, west
beyond the babble in between
she longs to be known by
a love yet unseen
a love that religion or "ways" can't reach
Sacred to befriend her mortal being
approaching her without strings
a world with colors more vivid than gray
or than what we see everyday
Light brighter - pure, free
a story bigger than you and me
written on pages with our names
tying the mystery of earth's family
and why she's here and where is there
and all that is true is simple and clear
where the restless horizon we settle for
is only upside down
there's more...

Through my growing up years, I was taught the concept that whatever I chose for a faith was okay. But I struggled with how I could believe in and live for anything that wasn't a guaranteed hope. What was I doing if it wasn't real? But I'm grateful for someOne who's proven to me to be more than just a way of life leading to unreachable or uncertain hopes. To personally know the living Creator God as Friend, Father, Savior, and Lord and to feel His reality in my life has driven me to write songs as well as continued to mold my perspective in daily life. I've tasted just enough of His love, holiness and beauty to want more.
The theme of this project came out of my personal experiences, searching for what I believe in and why. Ultimately, the message is how God wants to be known, worshipped, and desired for who He really is. What if He's not all of our ideas at one time? What if beyond all the opinions, arguments, philosophies, gods, religions and "ways" there is someOne who doesn’t want to confuse us; but instead wants to be known for who He specifically is? Could God’s jealous love for us be as real and valid as that which we would experience if someone we love leaves us for someone else?
On the other hand, "Only Everyone" also refers to each of our innate desires to be important. Many of us have related to the feeling of just being "one in the crowd". These songs are like encouragement letters to us from God speaking of how we're each worth it to uniquely create, reach for, suffer for and live with us.
You might have heard Jesus' words, "...I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." (John 10:10). "Life" here is translated "Zoe", which means "...fullness of life". I want to see "colors" that don't exist in the daily life of humanity alone and the beauty of contrast instead of gray. I want to feel more of what it's like to live in the warmth of pure Light, free from selfishness and the consequences that follow. I want to know more of this love that surpasses all understanding and knowledge. He's promised to increasingly reveal Himself to us as we seek after Him. I hope that you too will taste more of God--with me--as you listen to the CD and explore what's behind the songs.
And about this music project. It could not have been done without the time and talents of MULTIPLE people. Two of which have made a huge impact. Steve Hilstein, who produced, recorded, mixed, and played all drums and percussions (with exception only to one song intro). And Toby Willett who played bass on many of the songs (and also gave helpful musical feedback along the way). I want to say thank you to ALL who were involved for this opportunity to be able to give to you guys a music experience that we can explore together.
