The Claws of Azrael

OHR was one of the hardest working bands to come out of New York City in the past decade. Since the beginning as "Overhand Right", they worked hard at building their name and creating a loyal following. In 2005 they opened for the legendary Anthrax on several occasions, including 2 nights at Chicago's House of Blues as well as New Jersey's Starland Ballroom. In March of 2006 OHR embarked on a tour of the UK, where they opened for Anthrax at Sheffield, England's Academy, and Glasgow, Scotland's Barrowlands. On February 10, 2007 OHR had the honor of opening up for Slayer at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. During the Summer of 2007 they started demoing material with Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, which ended up being the "Drown the Head" CD and on December 26, 2007 OHR closed out the year at Irving Plaza in New York City, opening for Hatebreed and Agnostic Front on Stillborn Fest. All this allowed OHR the opportunity to have their music heard on a tremendous scale, but sadly after all these acheivements and a ton of lineup changes, the band was fairly silent through 2008 and ultimately broke up in 2010. ......
